Hispanic Mentoring Initiative

Hispanic Advisory Council
Committed to Serving the Needs of Hispanic Children & Their Families In Our Community

Hispanics make up about 14 percent of the nation's population according to the U.S. Census Bureau. More than one-third of all Hispanics in the United States are under age 18. Over one quarter of Hispanic children under 18 in the U.S. live in poverty.

The Hispanic Advisory Council is committed to serving the needs of Hispanic children and their families in our community. The Hispanic Mentoring Initiative continues the Big Brothers Big Sisters mission of empowering and enriching children through safe positive role models by partnering with our Hispanic community through the recruitment of Hispanic children and volunteers.

The Hispanic Advisory Council is made up of local professionals who have been inspired to make an impact in the Metroplex by pooling experience and resources in an effort to finding a mentor for each child in the Hispanic community who wants or needs one.
