The
mesothelium is a sac membrane that surrounds and protects most of the body's
internal organs. The first layer of the mesothelium covers the organ and the
second creates a protective sac around it. Mesothelioma is a cancerous tumor
that affects the mesothelial cells of a particular organ. The most common type
is pleural mesothelioma, which affects the membranes of the lungs. The second
type is peritoneal mesothelioma, which affects the membranes of the abdominal
cavity.U.S. Probes Off-Road Vehicles After a String of Accidents
